Wayman Newton grew up in the Collegeville community.  He graduated from the Alabama Schools of Fine Arts High School. He believes that his experiences growing up in these diverse settings, and learning to build bridges with people of all backgrounds, is one of the reasons for his success as a lawyer and as an entrepreneur.

Wayman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. After law school, Wayman worked for a large law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a commercial real estate associate.  He later returned to Alabama to be closer to family and to start a law practice centered around helping everyday people.

Through his legal practice, Wayman has worked hard to protect the rights and interests of ordinary people. He has represented personal injury and family law clients, churches, non-profits, and small businesses throughout the state.  In addition to his law practice, Wayman is also an active real estate investor. He specializes in value-added properties and affordable housing.

Wayman serves as a member of the board of the Foot Soldiers Internationals, Hope School of Excellence and he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  He is married and he has two daughters.  When he is not spending time with his family or working Wayman enjoys traveling and binge watching Law & Order SVU.
